Our mission is to grow a portfolio of Singapore companies who are globally competitive, to strengthen the capabilities of the Singapore economy and provide both direct and indirect benefits in terms of business opportunities and jobs for Singapore.
We focus on large Singapore companies (more than $500m in revenues) who have significant revenue and profit growth ambitions and commitment to invest in differentiating capabilities to compete and win on the global stage.
You will be managing a portfolio of identified clients, reporting to the Senior Vice President and Head, Accounts (Singapore Businesses).

This is an individual contributor role.
In terms of the ideal candidate, we are looking for a senior profile who either have experience in the (1) Marine & Offshore or Renewable Energy sectors OR (2) making investment decisions/recommendations on a portfolio of companies or specific projects


  • Grow companies in your portfolio by creating and securing project opportunities which result in win-win outcomes for clients and Singapore.
  • Create project opportunities and value-add to client relationships by building a sound understanding of regional/global industry and business trends and growth opportunities that are addressable based on a sound understanding of the client’s needs, capabilities and ambitions via their regional/global competitors and where Singapore’s industry ecosystems can offer synergies or competitive advantage or where these are in line with EDB / Singapore government’s strategic directions and programmes/products/services offered by government agencies may be relevant to the client
  • Negotiate and structure project opportunities to secure “win-win” outcomes for clients and Singapore through financial evaluation of the project for commercial desirability and viability, and how it improves the client’s overall business model or portfolio of businesses/revenue streams.
  • understanding of the project characteristics which require government intervention especially where there are benefits to Singapore beyond benefits to the company.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships and build trust with clients.
  • Serve as the main contact person from EDB to portfolio of identified corporate clients and oversee end-to-end process of account strategy and development, project negotiation and execution, and client servicing
  • Develop deep understanding of clients, their needs, operations, and structure to develop/ refresh client engagement strategies
  • Offer solutions (standard/ bespoke) to address clients’ requests/ issues/ challenge
  • Adhere to EDB’s service principles to ensure good client experience.


  • At least 6 years of experience, in sales, business development or partnership managing key accounts and investment outcomes.
  • Experience working for / with key Singapore companies is a plus.
  • Strong experience in the (1) Marine & Offshore or Renewable Energy sectors (BD, Strategy roles) OR (2) making investment decisions/recommendations on a portfolio of companies or specific projects (especially companies/projects with high technical content or capex requirements)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to analyse in-depth different complex issues and put forth actionable solutions
  • Demonstrate keen sense of business acumen and experience in negotiation, structuring deals/ contracts, and project management
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Able to independently deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently
  • Able to build and maintain positive client relationships and work in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging and managing stakeholders across all levels of seniority internally and externally
  • Singaporean
