About the Human Capital Division
Human Capital is a strategic and limited resource in Singapore that powers economic growth, anchors new business activities, and leads to good employment outcomes for Singaporeans.
The Human Capital Division creates and implements ideas to build a workforce that drives critical growth industries in Singapore. These include shaping national manpower polices and developing a conducive education and capability development ecosystem to build an industry-ready workforce.
As part of the team, you will:
Develop new and review existing Human Capital schemes and products, such as training and placement grants for Singaporeans and work passes for key growth sectors. This is an end-to-end process involving product development, communications, and implementation.
Partner, advise and co-develop industry/firm-level solutions with EDB’s industry divisions to address talent and capability development interests and/or needs.
Engage and work closely with other government agencies and tertiary education institutions on Human Capital policies and initiatives.
Analyse workforce data and industry trends to facilitate the next bound of policy development and enhancement.
Work across multiple project teams within the Human Capital Division, thereby gaining a wide range of exposure to different industries and policy options.
To meet the challenges of this role, you should have the following experiences and attributes:
At least 2 years of relevant work experience; preferably exposure to consulting, public policy, capability development, corporate/regional HR experience or related areas
Familiarity and interest in the areas of education, training and human capital development would be advantageous
A strategic thinker with strong analytical ability; inquisitive, open-minded, and resourceful
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; able to independently deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging and managing to engage both internal and external clients
