About the Office for Space Technology & Industry
The Office for Space Technology & Industry (OSTIn) is Singapore’s national space office. OSTIn is responsible for: (a) nurturing the development of space technologies to serve national imperatives; (b) growing a globally competitive space industry in Singapore; (c) fostering an enabling regulatory environment for Singapore’s space activities; (d) establishing international partnerships and contributing to the development of multilateral norms on space; and (e) supporting the development of Singapore’s future workforce through space-based STEM outreach.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Building sound understanding of outer space technology, policy and industry trends, and identifying opportunities to advance Singapore’s interest in space.
Coordinating the development and implementation of a coherent national outer space strategy and associated workplans, policies and initiatives to advance Singapore’s interests in space.
Analysing and mapping industry value chains, challenges, needs and opportunities and develop compelling value propositions and roadmaps that will help Singapore to succeed in the New Space industry.
Planning, structuring and project managing space technology projects, including developing and managing project workplans, budgets and tracking of KPIs.
Identifying, co-creating and managing collaborations with key stakeholders in the private and public sectors.
Performing Board Secretariat and other performance reporting functions
Requirements
A strong interest and passion in outer space
Tertiary qualifications in relevant disciplines
At least 7 years of work experience in roles to do with technology policy and strategy, innovation or strategy consulting, preferably in both government and the private sector; those with at least 10 years of relevant work experience and at least 2 years of experience in managing a team will be considered for the role of Assistant Vice President
Ability to analyse in-depth complex issues and put forth actionable solutions, and meticulously plan and drive strategy implementation at the organisation level
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken, and experience working with diverse stakeholders
Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player
