About the Information Technology (IT) Division, EDB
Our IT Division works in close partnership with EDB’s business divisions to drive digital transformation. We build digital products that leverage technology to improve EDB’s operational efficiency, create exceptional customer experience and deliver enhanced business value for EDB. We are looking to hire a Product Manager to join our team of passionate and creative technology professionals committed to using modern software development practices such as product management, design thinking, agile and devops to achieve EDB’’s business objectives. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle of one of our core digital product offerings which is used by thousands of companies in Singapore. Key roles and responsibilities
Oversee the entire product lifecycle of assigned digital products, from planning to execution in support of EDB strategy or digital objectives. This includes
Setting the product vision;
Creating and maintaining the product roadmap;
Partnering your stakeholders to determine the product features and functions;
Managing communications between your stakeholders and cross-functional product team;
Overseeing product design and development including setting time frames and clear deliverables;
Implementing product roll out and communication plan; and
Providing support of the product over its product life cycle, including product reviews where needed.
Establish and ensures appropriate governance functions for the product in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the product life cycle. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that product goals are accomplished on schedule, within budget, and in line with business objectives.
Conduct procurement exercises such as tenders and requests for proposals to obtain solutions and services for the delivery of the product
Review proposals or plans (internal or provided by external service provider) to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases.
With support from the Information Security function, conduct risk assessment and mitigation and ensure compliance with government and EDB policies, risk management, implementation, change management and system performance.
Establish standards and procedures for reporting and documentation.
Continuously benchmark team performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity.
Manages a team of support personnel to provide ongoing run-and-maintenance of IT systems.
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
Background in business information systems (IS), computer science or related field, or equivalent related IT experience.
Knowledge of project management methodology and experience, or familiarity with major defined PM approaches, e.g., AGILE (preferred) PMI, Prince II or MSP (managing successful programs). Product or Project Management Professional training and certification will be an added advantage.
At least 7 years of progressively responsible IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
At least 5 years of experience managing complex and risky products.
At least 5 years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
A track record in leading diverse teams
A distinctive blend of business acumen, as well as strong planning, IT, financial and communication skills.
